Week 4: PASTA WEEK!
Welcome to Week 4 of the Baking/Cooking Summer Enrichment Program! Below, you will find all of the recipes for the week. Monday (Fettuccine Alfredo), Tuesday (Broccoli and Cheese Shells), Wednesday (Summer Pasta Salad), and Thursday (Lasagna Roll Ups).
In order to earn 10 points, you must complete all four recipes. Earn 8 points for three recipes, 5 points for two recipes, and 3 points for one recipe. In order to earn points so I know you completed the recipe, post a DESCRIPTION in Google Classroom explaining how your creation came out!

Easy Fettuccine Alfredo
Ingredients
1/2 box of Fettuccine pasta noodles
1 cup Heavy cream
2 Garlic cloves
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons Butter
1 cup Heavy cream

Recipe
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine noodles for 8-11 minutes, or until they are soft enough.
2. In a separate pan, begin melting your butter.
3. Mince your garlic and put them in the melted butter on low heat.
4. Slowly pour in your heavy cream and almost all of the Parmesan cheese (leave a little bit of cheese to garnish on top).
5. Once your noodles are cooked, drain the water and put in the cream/cheese mixture. Toss until pasta is coated.
6. Serve with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!

Broccoli and Cheese Shells
Ingredients
1/2 box of Shells
1 cup of frozen broccoli
1 cup of Velveeta cheese
2 tablespoons of Butter
1 Garlic clove
Salt and pepper
1 cup of frozen broccoli
1 cup of Velveeta cheese

Recipe
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook the shells for 8-11 minutes, or until they are soft enough.
2. In the meantime in another pan, melt your butter.
3. Chop up your broccoli and add it to the melted butter.
4. Mine your garlic and add it to the broccoli.
5. Once the garlic and broccoli are booked, add in the Velveeta cheese and allow it to melt and all mix together. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
6. When your shells are done, drain from the water and add to the broccoli/cheese mixture. Combine all ingredients together.
7. Serve and enjoy!

Summer Pasta Salad
Ingredients
1/2 box of Rotini pasta
1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
1/4 cup Cherry Tomatoes
1/2 of a Cucumber
Italian Spices
1/3 cup Olive Oil
1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
1/4 cup Cherry Tomatoes

1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook the pasta for 8-11 minutes, or until it is soft enough.
2. In the meantime, chop up your vegetables.
3. When your pasta is cooked, drain it from the water and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
4. In a large bowl, combine your pasta with all of the rest of your ingredients. Be sure to mix it together well.
5. This can be served warm, cool, or room temperature! Enjoy!

Lasagna Roll Ups
Ingredients
1/2 box of Lasagna noodles
2 cups tomato sauce
1 cup Mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
2 cups tomato sauce
1 cup Mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Recipe
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
1. In a pot of boiling water, cook the lasagna noodles for 7-12 minutes, or just BEFORE they are soft.
2. Once they are cooked, drain the noodles from the water and allow it to cool until you can touch them with your hands.
3. In the bottom of a baking dish, pour in a coating of sauce.
4. Lay a noodle out flat and spoon on a layer of tomato sauce, then add the mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
5. Carefully roll the lasagna noodle up, and continue doing the same thing with the rest of the ingredients.
6. Place your lasagna roll ups on the baking dish and sprinkle the top with any remaining cheese.
7. Cook it in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
8. Allow it to cool and serve! I hope you enjoy!
